Are you beginning to run out of funds for your dogs feeding requirements? We cannot deny it”dog food is quite expensive. Moreover, as your dog grows bigger, his feeding needs intensify as well. And if you are one who has more than one dog to feed, the expenses could really be a pain in the ass.

The good news is that you can quit feeding these costly formulated dog foods, and shifting to homemade dog food! Never tried this before? Well, there is a first time for everything. If you are bothered about the level of difficulty involved when preparing your own dog food at home, I am pleased to tell you that it is very easy!

Furthermore, you would find more than enough dog food recipes from different resources online to entice your imagination and keep your dog satisfied. In fact, there are hundreds of websites offering a collection of various delicious-sounding recipes for your dog. I could list them down for you, but that would take so long and it would also be impractical since for sure, you would not get to visit every site included. Thus, it is better for you to choose on your own, which recipes are the ones you want.

Start by just using “dog food recipes” as your keywords. Type them into any search engine to produce a list of sites a mile long. If you are looking for a certain type of recipe, you can reduce your search by just being more specific with the keywords you choose.

By specifying words like puppy, vegetarian, diabetic or senior dog food recipes will produce better results. You can find such tempting concoctions as peanut butter puppy treats, dog style pretzels, brownies and donuts by using the right keyword phrase. In reading through some of these recipes you may be tempted on making them for yourself.

So you see you don’t have to spend a lot of money when it comes to feeding your dog. By finding homemade dog food recipes you will be doing something beneficial for yourself as well as your dog. You will save money and at the same time take better care of your dog.

Since the pet food recall of 2007 dog owners have been more aware of what they feed their dogs. Homemade dog food gives the dog owner more control over what their canines eat. Finding and compiling a list of the right dog food recipes is the best way to keep your dog properly nourished. Visit www.onlinedogfoodrecipes.com to learn more about proper dog food nutrition.

Ever heard of a perfect dog? You might possibly be the proud owner of one with the right tools of the trade?mainly mouth watering homemade dog treats. These simple and effective tips on how to make absolutely delicious dog treats will leave your canine no choice but to love you more and follow your every beck and call.

Let?s begin with the more savory treats shall we? If you are having chicken for dinner then it will be a perfect time to prepare your doggie?s little snack items as well. Cut the chicken you can spare in little strips and spread them over a baking sheet with plenty of cheese sprinkled on top of them. Bake them in a pre heated oven of about 110?C until it becomes crisp. Let it cool and its ready to be served.

Boil meat organs like liver or beef heart and flavor with the seasoning of your choice. Let it simmer until it is thoroughly cooked or for about 2 hours. When done, chop these into chewable bites and store into an airtight plastic container and freeze until when you need them. Before feeding it to your dog, check if the snacks are totally thawed out to eliminate the risk of indigestion and painfully chilled teeth.

If organ meat or chicken are not available?hot dogs are great and cost efficient canine treats as well. Slice these edible dogs into ready to eat pieces and microwave them in the oven until they obtain a tougher consistency. Keep them with you anytime for those ready snacks you can give your pet. For those pet owners who hold the dog treats in between their teeth, these nibbles are fantastic snacks.

Looking for some dessert items? Blend in 2 Tbsp of honey with 2 ? cups of water, an egg and ? tsp of vanilla in a bowl. Empty a small jar of applesauce and mix all the ingredients well. In another bowl, combine 4 cups of flour, 1 Tbsp nutmeg powder and 1 Tbsp baking powder. Pour out the ingredients of the first bowl into the second and blend until smooth and lump free. Scoop out spoonfuls of this batter onto prepared cookie sheets and bake at 350?F for one hour. Remove from oven and let cool in the wire rack. This recipe is for 12 servings?not hardly enough once your pet gets a taste of this.

You can add or subtract ingredients but make sure to research first before you do. Certain food that we eat are hazardous to canines like chocolates, grapes and most nuts. These homemade dog treats are easy to make but always exercise special care and consult with the vet before any significant change in their diets are made.

When you do your best to learn how to make dog treats, you are sending a message that you care and want only the best for your pet. Your pet is lucky to be under the shadow of your house and with these added treats ? being happy and obedient will be second nature to him.

If you are like me, you love your pet and want the very best for them. We provide them with wonderful homes, groom them well and feed them with what we think are the best dog food in the market today. Well, the home and grooming is great; but did you know that homemade food may be a better alternative to most of the goods you see on grocery aisles? That?s right; give the best by giving homemade pet food to your beloved pet.

There is one important thing you need to know, and that is that leftover table scraps are not qualified as homemade dog food. Pieces of bone, seed, tough stems and even too much animal fat should not be fed to the canine. If you consistently have meals that are healthy and low in sodium then go ahead and hand him some of those uneaten vegetables under the table. Otherwise, it will be best to prepare a healthful diet specific to him.

Remember to keep away from fare that is harmful to them. Some examples of these are chocolates, ham, lunch meat, cheese and overly spicy food. Not only will these cause problems in your dog?s digestive system; many times adverse reactions can even cause death. Incorporate healthy grains like rice, barley and oatmeal in his meals. Add bite size pieces of chicken, beef or any organ meat so long as you don?t over feed him on this. Make certain all food are cooked thoroughly.

Also incorporate fresh vegetables and fruits in the mix. Mash and finely shred the slices of vegetables you are putting in. Broccoli, carrots, seaweed, leafy vegetables and bananas are excellent ingredients to homemade pet food. The nutrients they will provide will make for a healthier dog. However, you may also add some specialty supplements to make certain your pet gets all the essential vitamins and minerals that he needs. Check with your vet before administering anything to him.

It is recommended that dog owners do not combine serving homemade and processed meals to their pets. This will oftentimes lead to indigestion. If you have always given him certain pre-packed food but want to try nourishing him with homemade fare, do so slowly. Start by feeding him small bites and light snacks of the healthy nosh in between his regular fare. If the dog seems to have no untoward physical reactions to it, introduce the new food plan gradually. Decrease the amount of regular dog food and increase the volume of fresh food being provided.

What?s great about this is that you do not have to be bothered about preparing their meals daily. You can even take the leftover, healthy scraps from the dinner table the last few days and transform it to a week?s worth of yummy doggie meals. A tip for the wise: change your menu often. This will lower the possibility of acquiring food allergy, which happens when the pet is fed the same kind of food too frequently.

Not only will you be giving your pet a healthier lifestyle; you will also save more money when homemade dog food is prepared and planned well. Use the extra savings to buy doggie toys or other entertaining treats with. Now that?s something to wag your tail for!

Preparing your dogs food yourself can be the best thing to keep your dog healthy. Doing this is not time consuming. What you get for a little extra time is a good recipe to keep your dog healthy.

Are you asking yourself why you should make additional work for yourself when it is so much easier to just buy it? Well, that’s a good question. First off, by making it yourself, you have absolute control over what you put into your dog’s body.

Next, it can also be cheaper to make it yourself. Even if you purchase your dog’s food in bulk, you can still save money by preparing his food at home.

Also, have you ever thought that your picky dog might even like the taste of your homemade dog food better than he does the expensive, store bought canned or bagged stuff? By using your own recipe, you can tweak it until your dog is just begging for more!

When making homemade dog food, avoid the use of salt and saturated fats. Salt has a tendency to cause your dog to be dehydrated.

When choosing cuts of meat, you should choose a lean ground meat, such as ground turkey. Not only is this a cheap alternative to pricey lean ground beef, but it is lower in saturated fat than most red meats.

The amount you should prepare at any given time will depend on the size of your dog, how often he eats in a day and how often you would want to do the cooking. Any food not eaten should be refrigerated for up to 5 days only.

Lastly when changing your dog’s diet do it gradually. Adding small portions will help avoid any digestion problems
