Terms of Use
The ground rules for using The Pet Zone. Short version: read freely, don't republish our work, and remember that breed guidance is not veterinary or legal advice.
Last updated: July 2026
These terms cover your use of thepetzone.org (“The Pet Zone,” “we,” “us”). By reading or using the site, you’re agreeing to them. If you don’t agree, the fix is simple: don’t use the site.
What this site is (and isn’t)
The Pet Zone publishes breed report cards, guides, and opinion based on hands-on training and fostering experience. It’s educational content, and that’s all it is. It is not veterinary advice, medical advice, legal advice, or a substitute for a professional who has actually met your dog. If your dog is sick, call a vet. If a dog has bitten someone, call a professional trainer or behaviorist, not a website.
Breed grades and finder results describe breed tendencies, not guarantees. Dogs are individuals. Two dogs from the same litter can be wildly different animals, and no quiz, including ours, can promise a specific dog will fit your home. Decisions about buying, adopting, rehoming, or managing a dog are yours alone, and we’re not liable for how they turn out.
Using our content
Everything on this site (text, grades, photos, the breed finder, page layouts) belongs to The Pet Zone unless it’s clearly credited to someone else. You’re welcome to read it, share links to it, and quote brief passages with a link back to the original page. You may not republish whole pages or guides, scrape the site to train products or fill other websites, sell our content, or present our work as your own. If you want to license something, ask first: [email protected].
Links to other sites
Some pages link out to sources we cite: owner threads, breed clubs, research. Those sites aren’t ours, and we don’t control what they publish or how they handle your data. A link is a citation, not an endorsement of everything on the other end.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep the report cards accurate and current, but we make no warranty that any page is complete, error-free, or up to date at the moment you read it. Breed standards shift, health research evolves, and prices change. To the fullest extent the law allows, The Pet Zone and its author aren’t liable for losses or damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
Corrections and complaints
If something here is wrong, we genuinely want to know. Our correction process is described in our editorial standards. Email [email protected] and include the page URL.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
